Magazine Article Redesign
The premise of this project was to select a magazine article and redesign it using only content and images from the original. The article I chose is from GQ magazine (March 2014) about the burneshas, a group of women in the Albanian Alps who pledged to live as men. I chose to use soft pastel pink, juxtapozed with grainy black and white images of the mountains, and portraits of the burneshas (indistinguishable from men), to draw attention to the burneshas' feminine origins and their rugged reality; surviving in isolation in the mountains.
