Combining our week's hueristic with the reading on television, I focused on a televised public event and the strange controversy that surrounded it. In light of so much racial injustice the twist of this story became poignant for me. The line, "Here, where the Confederate flag still flies beside the Statehouse," immediatley conjured the image of sky for me and I wanted to give voice both to our state poet as well as George Stinney's memory. Finding the music, "Better Days" by bensound brought the mood together perfectly.
