My previous go at the body of the mech. The reason it had so many faces, around 3000 in fact, is because I played around with the sculpt mode. I realized I had to create a new one because baking would be...difficult.
Started from a cube and made some loop cuts. Initially, I only had the mirror modifier on and only added a subdivision surface after I had baked the material. That's likely why the textures on the right seem more blocky than the body.
