Beginners Luck...

I wanted to try film photography, this is my very first set from my very first roll. I was intrigued by the mystery surounding your images and how they will come out. I sent my wishes out to the universe and was given a Pentax Sptomatic F. I tested it and it worked fine, along with its internal light meter. I bought myself 5 rolls of Kodak Tri-X 400 (because thats what all of the hipsters are using)

Going off my own personal experience I watched my meter carefully, made sure I lined my shots up how I wanted and pressed the shutter button, hoping for the best. I felt all but one would turn out ok, a slight lapse in concentration, a slip of the shutter. A frame over exposed. As it turns out, and to my surprise film is very forgiving. The above image is possibly my favourite of the set and the only one I thought I had screwed up, I love the hazy grain from the sun. I believe it was indeed beginners luck.

Thanks for viewing my images. Enjoy
