One Last Time

Our skatepark's closing came suddenly and without warning to me.

To my knowledge, the owner of the property never had in mind to develop skateboarding when purchasing the property years ago, so I think to be angry with him would only be unfair and truth be told the skatepark was probably not generating enough money to sustain itself.

Therefore, Vaal Skateboarding is committed to meeting with the right people about making our next step forward and encourage everybody to stay under one umbrella! If we are all going to initiate our own thing then I believe we will be ineffective in bringing about sustainable change.

Rome was not built in a day and neither will a new skatepark be built for us anytime soon.

This is a journey and we can only hope that in the near future we will have better facilities for our local riders.
