“ Create a book cover for the childrens book; Carrie’s War ”
With the book cover for Carrie’s War, I tried to recreate three important stages of the book within one picture:
the train ride with the famous tags, the skull, and the fire.
I kept the design as minimalistic as possible to represent the kind of story it is and keep it mysterious.
The typewriter font on the back represents the time the book is about.
The handwritten font makes it look like the book is Carrie’s diary.
The text behind the burnt parts is in fact the text from the first page of the book.
