ART 130 - Posters Final (Alexander Rodchenko)

On the following pages I’ll be presenting posters that advertise an exhibit on Alexander Rodchenko at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The exhibit will focus on Changing your perspective.

This tree is a collage of some interesting works done by Alexander Rodchenko. The tree trunk is when he painted with oils. The top of the tree is comprised of different photographs that he had taken. I think the tree of perspective has a good representation of Rodchenko’s work.
Alexander Rodchenko was all about looking at the world in a different perspective. He liked odd angles, large bold typeface. I added the page curl because it reminded me of one of his posters that he had done.
I had a lot of fun trying to see things as maybe Alexander Rodchenko would when he was taking pictures. I found an old sign frame on the side of the road. It looked funky and interesting. Taking a picture of the sign at a different angle than I normally would gave the sign interest and perspective.
