My experience in Savannah, closely linked and enriched with walkings along with detailed observation. As a designer, I find very interesting to focus my attention on typographic contents when making photography compositions. The idea for A Sense of Place is to photograph signals and objects from the places and routes I often cross by. All these shoots stand out typographic contens and their grunge aesthetic which adds and shape Savannah’s soul and my experience here.

To achieve this, I photographed close-ups of the many messages I find throughtout my journeys. Some of them with a hint of the place, some others more focused on textures and details. The different surfaces in which the typefaces are placed make enrich them visually. Slow down, observe and thus discover new things.
