The first step to the spacial abstraction was identifying a photograph for deconstruction. The intresting angle of the building and the prominent diagonals were reasons i chose this picture.
The first step of deconstruction was identifying the strong lines, and create an abstraction around it. I chose the strong diagonals and with different line thicknesses I tried showing the various volumes. This was my first step towards abstraction.
Another attempt at deconstruction was making a flat rendition of the building. i.e, solid shapes, and flat colors. This was the second step towards creating an abstract.
I have tried to show the strong diagonal by tilting the flat painting at an angle, and painting them with different shades of a mix of the colours red and blue. This was the last step towards spacial abstractions.
Keeping this as a base and inspiration, the next step toward spacial abstractions was to create a three dimensional model. My idea for the model was to create cantilever structures and arranging them at different angles and different directions. I also wanted to unify this structure, so I encased it in a skin which is semi tansparent.

Identifying a concept for this space was a challenge because of the highly irregular nature of the model. Keeping in mind this resraint I wanted to create an observation tower with a cafeteria at the ground floor. transparent, heat and light reflecting glass replaced the complete wooden structure.
