01
Ruined building located in one of many old streets in Nis was choosen to be renovated  due to its perfect location in the heart of many activities in the city. The old building is completely useless and is located next to a caffe on the same lot. This design changes situation by giving a new use to all objects on the lot, renewing the old building and excluding existing caffe and building addition on its place. The whole new composition is intended to be a new art gallery, a night  club, a workshop space and a caffe.

It is obvious that city with such an interesting way of life like it is a case with Nis, needs some exhibition space that will, as a whole, represent its identity to the world. Main detail of this project is also based on this thinking. It is a hanging ‘’box’’ where permanent exhibition takes place and represents analogy to some kind of a chest where all precious things for this city are kept and hidden from an eyes of passerby. On the other hand, lecturers wanted to see how students can get along with some problems concerning incorporating some new structure in an old city zone. In that manner, front faced of this object, oriented along the Nisava river, is precisely alligned to front facade of University of Nis’s main building leaving backyard of a lot completely free for organizing green spaces and outdoor exhibitions.
03
This design is actually a proposal for competition which was held in Nis in 2010. The task was to renovate the park and design additions to this location which could make this place more interesting to a big number of citizens who slightly forgot what recreational spaces they actually posses in this city. The  proposal is giving a new design of central plateau with three existing fist-shaped statues which are also main detail of this location. Crutial parts of this urban design are also theatre, two entrance plateaus, camping areas, new memorial underground walkway and a number of paths throughout entire location for recreational purposes.
04
This project is based on some of ideas for renovation of an old ruined industrial complex near Nis. The existing analized lot consists of nearby workers community building, several workshops, old offices and big hall that represents center of composition.  The existing walkway was used for making a new one with a number of less frequent paths throughout entire location. Workers community building with its utility spaces is connected to the main hall using short covered walkway between these two structures.
05
The lot near  the existing student housing building in Nis was given to be designed to become a new object for students accomodation. In this project, some of the most important questions in architecture nowadays were concidered. One of them was overgrowing built surface on earth and the fact that free green spaces are in danger of reducing to its minimum. In that manner, one of solutions was to design tall buildings and leave free recreational space on ground level as much as possible. The final question was: Is it going to be a simple concrete machine for living or is it going to be something more comfortable and environmentally acceptable ?
06
People of this area believe that lot given by this project is lying on an old forgotten ruins dating since 1900’s. Therefor, only possible interventions in this area needed to be designed as a temporary structures ready to dissmantle in the future when (if) excavations of the site begin. Neighbours are also in a desperate need of some recreational and comercial spaces such as sports court, community buildings, gym, restaurants and other points where they can gather and socialize.
Basic design of all buildings on this site is in good correlation with the nature and doesn’t stand out as some egoistic interpretation of an architect. Restaurant, caffe, gym and relaxation hut are designed as prefabricated buildings laid down on a thin concrete foundation surfaces.
Pedestrian ways are well analised and with that knowledge pathways are designed as terrased, chaotic structures that lead down to a lower point of the site. This terraced structures are also meant to be the gathering points of people that live around the park.
Memorial wall also reminds people of presence of a graveyard where french soldiers from WWI were burried.
07
A house is designed as a part of the landscape and it dosen’t interfere with any views through the field. Partially dug into the terrain and transparent on it’s south facade, it provides nearly perfect thermal conditions. Tromb wall, heath-pump and a double glazing filled with gass also makes underground zone of the object much more energy-efficient. Part of the house which is above ground level is coverd with duble aerated facade. Construction of a whole project is intended to be a frame made of recycled concrete. Part of the hallway between underground zone and a traditionally shaped house volume is clad in Litracon (partially transparent concrete blocks filled with optical fibers).
