THE KILIM PROJECT #1
The term 'kilim' originates from the Persian word gelīm (گلیم) which means 'to spread roughly'. Inspired by the folkloric tapestry the Kilim, one of the very iconic forms of crafts and arts in many different cultures such as the Persian, Egyptian, Turkish, Bosnian, Polish etc., and it varies from country to country with its different materials, patterns, percentage of wool used and the size of the stitches and their numbers. This piece is designed by the artist and executed with 100% wool on canvas with size 20x20 cm.
