The assignment was to design a logo and branding the mexican festivity "Dia de muertos" . The intention was to create a visual identity to this amazing festivity.
 
My idea was to bring this holiday into the actual millenium but without leaving the mesoamerican roots of the festivity behind.

For the logo i designed a module that resembled the beautifull prehispanic representations of Mictecacíhuatl, also known as "Dama de la Muerte", who is the queen of the Mictlán, the 9th and last circle of hell.

She presided the mexicas festival in honor of the dead before the arrival of the spanish and still does in the representation of the "Catrinas"
