There were used 50 of 328 short post-modern poems for this art book.

I made an experiment that consisted of balancing and composing in little poetic form according to miniature format of book 40x70 mm, without using of digital technology.

There were some new and engrossing tasks such format and technics that I have never done before. It was very interesting to work with letterpress, printing and binding of this small edition. All graphics, without exception, are made and printed by hands on a letterpress machine of USSR period. Moreover, illustrations are performed in the linocut technic. Each block is consisted from 30 linocuts.

Each illustration is a satellite to poem with distorted reflections of its words. Because poems are concise, but very deep in a sense, I did not want to pile up illustration with redundant noise and information. That is why pictures are simple. Person on it - may be any of us; synthesis stylized sexless image can contain in itself any characteristics, reflecting next to the verses.
Furthermore, I wanted to make the format of book more enigmatic. It was important to consign the idea of augury, which lays in the title of this art book. Therefore, you can open any verse and you will eventually commit a divination in some sense. Moreover, the same small size implies to make an intimate contact with the reader.

Finally, work is represented in the edition from 17 signed and numbered miniature books, with short verses and illustrations. Diminutive format contains human thoughts about fate, love, choice, and relationship with people, universe and himself.

Ауспіції — це студентський проект, арт-бук створенний на основі однойменної збірки українського поета О. Бригинця. З 228 коротких пост-модерністських віршів я відібрала до роботи 50.

За задумом хотілося вмістити маленькі віршовані форми у мініатюрний формат книжки 40 х 70 мм надрукованний без використання цифрових технологій. Обмеження формату та техніки виконання виявило багато нових цікавих питаннь з якими я раніше не працювала. Всі тексти набрані вручну та далі відбиті на леттерпресі радянського періоду. Це була кропітка, але цікава робота.

Ілюстрації це сателіти до віршів, спотворені відображення текстів. Слова в віршах до болю лаконічні та глибокі по змісту, тому не хотілося зайвого ілюстративного шуму, тому й ілюстрації мінімалістичні. Образи з ілюстрацій — це кожен з нас, стилізована безпола особистість, що може наповнюватися будь-якими характеристиками, рефлексуючи на вірші.

Мініатюрний формат, в декотрому сенсі, відображає назву збірки. Відкривши будь який з віршів — можна здійснити «ворожіння». Мініатюрність передбачає тісний контакт з читачем, ніжне його ставлення до книги як об’єкту.

Тираж 17 екземплярів, зшитих вручну, всередині 50 віршів та 30 ілюстрацій-ліноритів. Маленька книжечка, наповнена короткими віршами та ілюстраціями, немов глибокий колодязь для роздумів людини про долю, кохання, вибір, відносини з людьми, світом і самим собою.
