Program: Autodesk Maya

Project: Create a room or environment inspired by a celebrity, historic, or book related figure.

 

Process: Modeled each piece of furniture, object, and wall element. Textured and shaded using both hand drawn elements in Photoshop and various manipulated photos. Applied different lighting techniques to make both external and internal light sources. Created cameras and manipulated depth of field depending on the frame of view.

 

Person: Caecilius Iucundus

About: A well known banker from the ancient Roman city of Pompeii (before it's destruction by Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD). During excavation, his home provided archeologists with countless objects of well preserved documentation. Wax tablets, coins, and frescos all helped piece together what life was like in Pompeii as well as detailed accounts of residents (included in their banking documentation).
