University assigned project: Choose a product that you believe could do with rebrand and explain the reasons behind the new design.
 
I choose to do a modern rebranding of the logo and bottle packaging for Blue Moon craft beer.  I wanted the popular beer to appeal to the 18-28 age range whilst keeping the existing clientell (30 upwards). Craft beer has recently become popular with “Hipsters” and I believed the rebrand would be very beneficial if it could exploit this trend.
 
Some idea generation for the logo design. Designs based upon existing brands, the target audience, heritage and the meaning behind the name.
Logo Design
 
I wanted to use script to show the heritage of the brand. But I wanted it to have a modern look so it would appeal to the younger audience. I used the blue circle to obviously represent the blue moon.
Label Design
 
Final label design, to be printed onto laid conquers paper to create a vintage posh feel. Printed on plain or dark paper. Logo pushing out of the box to replicate “moon rise”. American flag featured to show the origins of the beer.
