I recently started reimagining some book covers for classic literature. Both because I love the design elements for book jackets and cover art as well as seeing a trend of great tales being reimagined in the pages of graphic novels.
I loved this book as a child and upon fleshing out the concept with a friend came to like the idea of the world map/globe being a part of the balloon itself. From there it was adding texture and digital painting in Photoshop over the balloon vector.
