About NIFT Fashion Olympiad (NFO)

At NIFT, it is constant endeavor to locate and honor talented fashion composers that exhibit extraordinary ability to create the notes of fashion. To identify such talent, NIFT has pioneered NFO. NFO offers a platform to young talented individuals to test their skill and talent in specialized field of fashion. The contest will encompass two levels. The regional level competition will be held in all NIFT centres followed by National level competition amongst regional winners in NIFT, New Delhi.

The czars of talented Fashion makers will be chosen based on a variety of events, each of which will entail competitive studio tests, skill tests and quiz that assess the student’s ability to demonstrate their skill and talent. An eminent jury of practitioners in the field would be invited to evaluate the contestants and winners will be celebrated and awarded. It is the mathematics of pattern making, chemistry of colors, economics of branding that is put to test for all who believe in intellectualizing fashion.

The Logo represents the connection of letters N, F, O and four dots that together takes the form of infinity which possesses the color of eternity, blue; connecting us to eternal nature of thinking and thought process. It represents integration & infinity of possibilities, perfection and unity.
The four dots that connect the infinite possibilities in the logo are fashion, creativity, design and youth. The four, when together, forms a limitless spectrum of thoughts and opportunities, something that SAMYOGAM- 2014 promises to youth of India. NIFT- the medium through which this platform has been provided for the youth to come together lies in the center of symbol of infinity.
The logo is a manifestation of SAMYOGAM’s philosophy of bringing forward the best of creative talents from all over the country to create an energetic pool of budding talents.
