I decided to use one of my favorite verses from the Bible for my column of text effect.
The background is the inside of a cathedral.
Used the gradient map to turn it to black and white.
I made a copy of the cathedral to a new layer and used the burn tool to darken some parts of the photo i thought were too bright.
I made a black rectangle that I used to cover the whole background and changed the blending mode to darken and lowered the opacity to 85%.
I made two rectangles to separate the words, used white as the fill and changed the blending mode to soft light.
The font used was source sans pro.
