The Suchitra Film Society started in 1971 as a forum for art and film appreciation. The society grew rapidly within 10 years, transforming into a cultural academy and was inaugurated by the reknown film maker Satyajit Ray. The society, still growing strong, is largely responsible for the Annual Bangalore International Film Festival held by the Karnataka State Government.
With a purpose to rise above the slightly jaded, stagnant brand image and look towards raising funds for a new campus, Suchitra approached us to create a fresh identity and redesigned communication collateral. We thus designed a logo that represented both the old & the new, as well as the local and global image that Suchitra stands for. This was translated onto their fund raising brochure as well.
