aMaze - Branding and Ad Campaign

THE PROBLEM
Every year, the College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath’s Applied Art Department hosts an annual show which gives students a chance to display their work in front of professionals. And every year, it is the same kind of exhibit. Which resulted in lower footfall and lesser people being informed as there were only few invites that went out. What would this year’s be like?
 
SOLUTION STRATEGY
The branding for the show has to connect to the students. It needed to be something eye-catching, straightforward, and relate to the rigor behind the months and years preceding the showcase. Reaching out to as many people and arising curiosity in them so that they are induced to visit the showcase. This was only possible with social media. We intended to post event teasers, student video logs just to give the viewers a preview of what aMaze is going to be like.
 
CONCEPT
We all walked into a maze,
Unaware of the path we had to take,
Our destination was known,
Although the journey still in a haze.
 
We reached dead ends, lost our line,
But in the end, all went fine,
As we now stand at the periphery,
Set to amaze everybody.
 
The name aMaze is a verbal pun intended to signify a maze which all students have journeyed through as the years of our graduation went by and now that they stand at the periphery of that maze, they are all set to amaze everybody with the objectives they have achieved and the work they have done.
As they stand at this juncture, this was the word they felt was apt to describe their journey and goal.
 
ABOUT
aMaze is a showcase of the work of the graduates of Applied Art 2015. As the name says it, this year they aim to amaze all with tremendous ideas of 32 creative minds that have been working towards improvising today and innovating tomorrow.
