The goal of this project was to design a new test cell for our next generation pressure transducer. The test cell must provide electrical connection to the pads on the chip and provide an air tight seal around the piezoresistive membrane to meassure the controlled air supply.

Found the hinged design was problematic for proving repeatable electrical connection and downward force to seal to the o-ring.
Second design
Miniature linear baring and rail system
Redesigned latch mechanism to incorporate catch mechanism limiting rotational range of motion.
