Chapter 1, as you can see is fairly uneventful in terms of descending into savagery, this is shown in my book by having no text spilling into the outer pages.
In Chapter 4, we begin to see some of the boys edging toward savagery when they begin to hunt wild pigs. In this chapter some of their words begin to spill onto the fringes of society, and the vowels have started their transformation into other typefaces to represent the boys drifting apart.
In Chapter 8 features like the words spilling out and vowels transforming have been increased, and other features like the blood splatter at the death of simon is included. The chapter heading is also becoming more savage at this point, spilling into the outer pages. Above you can also see that each page is french folded with colour printed within matching the chapter colour, this is a feature throughout the book.
Chapter 12 embodies the most chaos of all, this is where most words spill onto the outer pages, creating a mess of copy that can be seen at all times thanks to the tracing paper. At this point the vowels are at their final transformation, the text is still legible, but it looks awkward and slightly chaotic.

As you can see this project shows a form of descent, meant to represent print descending into digital, but done in a way that could only be achieved on paper, showing that print will live on.
