HG Wells is widely known for his science fiction writing and not for his social novels. He incorporates his own life experiences and social views into each novel in the set, thus the novels represent a different side to the famous science fiction writer. Therefore I named the set The world of Wells. 

 

The concept behind the creative solution for the set was to represent the world of each novel’s protagonist as well as promote HG Wells as a social writer. The protagonist of each novel has a strong and well-defined personality. The covers illustrate these personalities and detailed lives through a circular design that visually links the set together. Each novel was assigned a spot colour according to the novel’s tone. Similarly various typefaces were assigned to each novel based on both the gender and the spirit of the protagonist.
