Baby Groot Cardboard Cutout

Step One: Draw the Art
I traced a screenshot from the Garudiauns of the Galaxy movie in Adobe Illustrator. I chose a screen that I found to be most recognizable.
Baby Groot Reference Image
Create a silhouette of Baby Groot’s form.
Trace  enough details to make it recognizable.
Step Two: Create Production Files
File setup for printing with production notes. Since we were printing direct to craft colored cardboard, I chose to have white print underneath the green so it would be more vibrant.

Step Three: Assemble
Glue or tape the pieces together.
Finished
The Guardians of my desk.

Baby Groot Cardboard Cutout

After seeing Guardians of the Galaxy, I wanted a baby Groot for my desk before one became available, so I made my own!
