Hi-Res | Concrete Table
Entre modelage à la main, numérisation 3D et fabrication numérique, la table Hi-Res brouille à travers son processus de conception la frontière entre monde matériel et monde virtuel.

Between hand modelling, 3D scanning and digital fabrication, the Hi-Res table blurs through its design process the boundary of the material and virtual world.

PROCESS

Exploration with modeling clay
Scanning a clay model
Creation of the mesh as the scan progresses
Using a 3-axis CNC router to create the mold in which the concrete will be poured
Taking apart the mold
Detail of the junction between the copper leg and the concrete plate
This project has been created in collaboration with my collegue Jean-Nicolas Bouchard.
