Shipping Container Structures for empty spaces in Christchurch
This brief focused on the empty, demolished spaces of Christchurch and what we could do as society to stimulate these areas and get people interacting with the spaces once more. In response to this, I devised a series of shipping containers which act as semipermanent structures occupying a space for a set amount of time, each possessing it's own personality and style, whilst still remaining under the wider parental umbrella of the BOX identity. Not only do the containers occupy the space, but also to help with the psychological healing from the effects of the earthquakes as the areas are transformed from grey and loomy to colourful, vibrant and buzzing with life.
