Safe in the City. Feel at Home

"Feel at Home"

What is Safe in the City?

Safe in the City is a mobile app designed to map user-generated stories of harassment in public spaces. Please note that this is not a product designed to be used as an emergency alarm signalling for help - that’s what the emergency services are for. This is an app designed for people who are made to feel uncomfortable (ie. due to heckling, obscene comments, verbal harassment and other forms of intimidation) and who need some place to record and share their stories but don’t want to report such incidents to the police.

Logo concept:

Everyone has a place where they feel most secure, most comfortable.
However, many have no such luxury out of home.
The driving idea of Safe in the City should be about making public spaces filled with the same feeling of security and comfort (sometimes only) experienced at home.

The whole idea of communication is focused around bringing the feeling of home - out of home.

Slippers - symbolizing coziness and warmth of home - the main element of the branding.
Also symbolizing peaceful movement - a powerful and memorable image to create awareness and buzz around the subject.
