Origin - noun. The point or place where something begins, arises, or is derived; source; the first stage of existence; beginning; ancestry.

The ORIGEM project marks the beginning of a new DPIGS era: represented by a new set of graphic characters, it intends to serve as a metaphor for the need to disrupt the pre-established, each one enjoying the characteristic of being a letter of the alphabet, almost as if we're creating a new form of communication. It is, therefore, an appreciation to the great importance of design and graphic communication for the society in its whole.

Origem - s. f. primeira causa determinante; principio; nascença; primórdio; nascente; naturalidade; procedência; pretexto: justificação; causa; etimologia.

O projecto ORIGEM marca o inicio de uma era DPIGS: representado por um conjunto de caracteres gráficos pretende servir de metáfora para a necessidade de romper com o preestabelecido, gozando da característica de representarem cada um uma letra do alfabeto, quase como se criasse uma nova forma de comunicar. É, então, um valorizar da grande importância do design e da comunicação gráfica para a sociedade no seu geral.
