Katha: Revenge of Cronus

Myths are an important feature of many cultures. The  exhibition 'Katha' was an outcome of the first design project 'Narrative spaces' at NID. The exhibition was based on myths brought together from various parts of the world.
The exhibit 'Revenge of Cronus' is an interpretation of a story from Greek myth. Gaia, who gives birth to Uranus, and many gigantic creatures, called Titans. Uranus kills titans cause he feared them. Gaia's youngest son Cronus takes revenge by killing his father Uranus.
Poster for the story
The 3D interpretation was made in the space of 2m x 2m. First, a poster was made to visualize the story. For the final installation,
Greek pottery used as a main theme to give 'Greek' mythological look and feel. Also, all the characters of the story can be found on greek pottery.
The broken pots symbolizes archaeological look to the exhibit where the broken edges of the pot forms a silhouette, forming the key frames of the story.
