The Masakali Mural

The Masakali Mural

Masakali Mural is the first wall art I painted. This mural was a part of a college project called "Radical Rabbit Hole" which focused on public dissemination of artwork. It was an introduction to public art and I found my passion emerging ever since.

The mural is a pop-art of Sonam Kapoor holding a masakali bird. The reference was taken from the film "Delhi-6" itself. I chose to paint this design because the space spoke a lot about local and vernacular culture. It's made on a commercial street facing a main road.
