WWF - The Journey of Water

We challenged a team of influencers to trace an 85km, four-day journey of water from catchment area to tap, learning about the threats that fresh water faced along the way. To amplify the campaign, the influencers engaged with their social media followers throughout the walk.
Point of Sale material in supermarkets, restaurants and at music festivals directed people to a microsite where they could follow the journey of water in real time. The microsite used a geolocation API to enable people to find their nearest fresh water source at the touch of a button.
Each catchment area featured real-time weather updates, photo galleries and a summary of the various threats in the area, giving South Africans a clearer picture of the state of their fresh water supply.
We also offered people practical advice on how to conserve water.
