Neighborhood Well-being | Chelsea, NYC

New Yorkers are notoriously busy.
After living here for two years, I know how to pull out all of the tricks to avoid confrontation with someone trying to sell you something, ask you something, or just bombard you on the streets.

Last year, we were asked to gather information from our neighbors and attempt to map the well-being our of respective 'hoods. Mine being Chelsea.

After quickly realizing that no one would talk to me if I approached them on the street - I regrouped. I thought about what minimal ask I could put in front of someone and actually get a response?

What is the first word you think of when you think of Chelsea?

I had respondents write down their answers and post them amongst others in my sketchbook, collecting 61 total thoughts from my neighbors, and categorizing them by their relationship with Chelsea.

Here are the results.
