A few years ago I was asked to mockup designs for a webapp/mobile website for CRU at Appalachian State University. Cru was currently exploring routes to see which method of contact students prefered (ie Twitter, Facebook, Email, Website, or App). 

 

The design I came up with features sliding layered cards that brought in information as users tapped the screen and would be dismissed with a drag offscreen function. 

 

While it was never used (Facebook and Twitter became vastly more popular) it was an interesting experiment into UI/UX design and how present very text heavy content in an interesting way.
