Vertical Project - GETIn - Donation Campaign Design

The Proposal for The Fundraising Campaign of "Get In" - A project done by Level 3 students

“GETIn” is a collaborative project of Department of Integrated Design - University of Moratuwa, Ministry of  Education Sri Lanka and DESIGN CUBE. The project aims at upholding the creative education of students of rural schools in Sri Lanka with the concept of “Guidance for Educational Transition with Innovation”.

Third year (2011/2012) students of Media and Communication Design in the Department of Integrated Design have initiated the project with its concept development, corporate identity and the communication campaign for the fundraising as the initial step to start the project “GETIn”. Fourth Year (2010/2011) students of Media and Communication Design in the Department of Integrated Design was given the task to develop a proposal for the fundraising campaign of this project GETIn as for the module Vertical Project. Here the aim was to
identify and analyse the parameters of the developed project and design the communication plan for the fundraising, effectively and efficiently with a proper plan and a strategy.

Target Auidence : People in creative industries. This target audience will be more categorized mainly the
professionals in the creative field who were past students of Faculty of Architecture. Also professionals in all creative and innovative fields who are interested will be addressed.

Insight : We are in “out of the box”

Strategy : “The feel of responsibility” - The campaign is to be designed with the fact of motivating to donate, assuring the reliability of the project and the worth of the donation.

BIG IDEA : “Let them join the world outside the box”

Mediums: The campaign will be based on communication materials through cyber space. It to the budget limitation of the campaign and which is considered the most effective medium to reach the target audience effectively with less time. The medium is also effective in making donations faster, getting feedbacks easier, the linkage of more relative information of the project in assuring the reliability, ease of making viral and adding
more related people in the target group and keep the audience with the process easily.

Executions : 
Stage one - Creating the awareness of fundraising and motivating to donate


facebook page : The facebook page is the base which to make posts viral, provide the direct space for donation, carrying relevant information and publishing updates.
Viral posts - poster series
Embedded facebook application : This application which can be embedded as a tab in facebook page is to be used for direct donating and as a source of further information, contacting and updating on the process.
Stage two - Update them with the process

The process of donation and starting up of projects and its process should be notified to the donors and viewers to get more donations if needed during the process. This will ensure the productivity of the donations. These can be notified through the facebook application and through facebook posts. The posts can be shared on the donors wall or tag them for their reference and reputation.

Stage three - Satisfy them with the outcome

Notifying the donors after the project is completed and share the outcome with the donor through facebook or google+. This is to make the donors satisfy with their effort and make sustainable donors for the project and make more people to donate more in the future .
