SLI CHAIR
SLI Chair was inspired by a common relaxing sitting position amongst children and young adults. The user lies on a couch with their back on the seat of the couch and their legs slung over the back while reading, talking on the phone, or simply taking it easy for a bit. This chair was designed to make that sitting position more comfortable by including a head rest and more ergonomic angles, as well as to keep the legs at an upright angle for increased blood flow after a long day on their feet. Although it is designed based on a single position, multiple sitting positions can be acquired comfortably on this design.
These are fairly common sitting positions in which the users sit or lay down on their couches in unanticipated ways, often by hanging their legs over the side or back of the couch. SLI Chair was designed to make these sitting positions more comfortable by including a head rest and angled support for keeping the legs upright.
Aside from the seating position initially intended for this design, other comfortable seating options are also available to the user.
