Retail Design - lindt & Intimissimi
A new store in piazza Diaz in Milan represents a collaboration between Lindt - the Swiss chocolate brand, and Intimissimi - the Italian underwear brand. The design concept is based on the core of both brands - THE FIELD where the cacao beans for Lindt grow and the cotton for the clothes of Intimissimi.
In the design the focus is on natural light with a great importance. The warm and neutral tones of the material and light create a mood of relaxation and invites the customer to spend more time in the space.
The displays from Lindt are hanging down from the ceiling like the cacao beans on the tree. The one from Intimissimi is positioned on the floor and is growing like the cotton plant. The client picks there products like the origin of the material or ingredient.
The store offers as well a bar, lounge area, chocolate creation area and a runway for events. the entire areas are connected inside and outside with cement layers and cotton, that inspired by chocolate and fabric. A green wall in the open backyard is giving a sensation of well-being and contributing a comfortable climate. The colours in the shopping windows are taken from the palett of cotton and cacao beans. The main materials trough the space are recycled oak and cotton and carbon cement.
Pavegen tile by Pavegen company from The United Kindom The tiles create renewable energy that is harvested from the footstep of a person who walks on it. It can be stored and used for highlighting the displays.
