DELUSION ''SANRI''

My first solo illustration exhibition in İstanbul

The root of the word delusion comes from to assume, a person’s vision and assumptions of unreal events, also could be described as a percivieng a substantial differently. Reality is a perceptual situation, within the time, fact and term that we are existing could be shaped depending our reality and can take different forms. In this context, the artist’s reality gains its meaning by her dreams and the moment when everbodys reality starts to be interpreted in a different way from the artist’s vision; time, concept, fact and emotions appear in a different dimension in the eye of the artist.

The series of illustrations in this exhibition are the fantastic reflections of the generally excepted reality where the abstract and the concrete are closely intertwined and the perception of the time has changed. Unlike drifting apart from the reality, the artist’s main purpose is to create a new vision of the reality perception by approaching the reality with different dimensions. She is mostly inspiring from the nature and doing collage and the mixed technique by using fineliner, pencil, ink, ecoline and watercolor.
