Motivational Tobacco is a personal project that aims to motivate my Mum to not smoke, after quitting smoking after 40 years.
The grey box is sent to her after 1 year off the smoke, the pink 2 years off, and the yellow 3 years. Inside each box there are 10 cigarettes. The tobacco within each one has been arranged into a typographical language that motivates my mum with things she can have 'better' or 'more' of now cigarettes don't gobble up cash.
I cant imagine how difficult it is for anyone to give up smoking or any addictive substance. When I send these gifts to my mum, I hope it not only keeps her going but shows those who are quitting that the people you are closest to do appreciate your efforts. If you are quitting, keep going!
