The Johnny's wine labels, designed by me for FOREMAN WOLF, were inspired by elements of the
1920’s speakeasies, need to reflect a mid-tier price point (retails for $17.99) and have “pop” on shelf.
The complementing peacock blue and crisp apple green labels create an effective color block in-store,
helping catch the eye of the buyer. The subtle geometric pattern and use of silver foil add prestige
elements without being too fussy.
"Johnny's" Syrah is loaded with the aromas of violets, cocoa, & spices with ripe, juicy boysenberries leaping from the glass & velvety tannins on the finish. This supple red can only be found at BIN 604 Wine Sellers in Baltimore, Maryland or BIN 201 Wine Sellers in Annapolis, Maryland.
"Johnny's" Chardonnay is loaded with the generous aromas of ripe apple, pear and banana combined with a lusciously plump and creamy texture. This white is lightly oaked with notions of baking spices rising on the finish, balanced by an attractive acidity providing lift and length. This rich, ripe and very satisfying Chardonnay can only be found at BIN 604 Wine Sellers in Baltimore, Maryland or BIN 201 Wine Sellers in Annapolis, Maryland.
Both wines were made exclusively for the two wine stores by two separate Californian wine makers.
