Expanding on the brief of creating one opera poster, the proposal is the creation of a poster identity and a further identity for the RIAM’s collateral, providing consistency. The opera posters use a robust but flexible typographic system which can facilitate different content due to the condensed nature of the typeface used. The image treatment takes form of a small visual cue which would creep up from the bottom of the poster, vertically flush with the event title which is given hierarchy against the shimmer of the metallic finish used for the secondary information. Due to the flexible nature of the proposed typographic approach, its renewable and offers both the academy an economical yet, aesthetically pleasing solution.
