The objective: Take a fan theory of a combined universe within two video game franchises and put an image to the brain.

The material: Ubisoft's 'Assassins Creed' and 'Watch Dogs'.

 

The character: Aiden Pierce(main protagonist from 'Watch Dogs')

 

I've been kind of away from doing any form of artwork for quite some time now so I'm using this exercise to rekindle old habits. 

This was the early outline of the characters upper torso used in the final representation. This was at about 5-6 hours in.

After hours of making sure it was 100% complete, my outline was done and the coloring-in process was about to begin. Decisions for the color palette were based off previous character outfits in the 'Assassins Creed' series. In all the games each assassin had their own unique look with various white fabrics and that now signature assassin red.

With all these thoughts in mind the decision was simple. I wanted to make it look as modern and realistic as possible. I mean, a man running around in white robes is an easy way to get noticed which is porbably the opposite of what you'd want to do if you're a trained killer. So, I kept the colors darker for the most part. Lots of shades of grey, and small accents of red within the jacket. I was scared at the end because I saved the jeans for last and I hadnt been 100% as to whether I'd experiement with some darker blues or greys, but upon zooming out to scale I realised that the white fit into the outift very well. It was sort of an unexpected ode to the traditional assassin's outift, mixed in with something we'd see out of spy movie. 

With all that being said this was the finished design. It's technically not final, and may go under a few minor revisions(especially the background), but I was very happy and anxious to share this work with you all. I'ts fun doing this sort of stuff again, and I cant wait to share more projects with you all in the future.
