After dicovering the horrendous factual stories regarding the shipment of children from the United Kingdom to Australia over 100 years ago, I wanted to create a document that not only educated people regarding the officially apology to generations of people, but also display emotion and atmosphere surrounding the subject.

Creating a document that when handled would leave a mark, represents the emotional, mental and physical abuse that each individual incountered during this period of time.

 

After each apology which was made during the speech, there is a flash of bold colour and type. Indicating that Sorry does not cover the scale of the abuse. Through time, the more the book is handled, the more the book will slowly develop more prints and marks.

 

Eventually the book will be illegible and blank, reverting to the history of the children in which they are aware of.
