The book “Croatian Hunters, a History of organized hunting in Croatia from 1881 to 2011”, has been presented during 130th anniversary of organized hunting in Croatia. President Đuro Dečak brought attention to, and described in the book, the contribution that the hunters and the hunting game have provided to our culture and economy over the past 130 years. Dr. Radovan Fuks, form Minister of Science, Education and Sports noted that the hunting game is not inconsistent with nature conservation, quite to the contrary – if properly understood and implemented on a technical and scientific basis it can be an effective factor in the conservation of nature. Hunting isn’t necessary an element of destruction, but rather an important factor in preserving and further improving of the biological and ecological balance and diversity of Croatia’s fauna.
