This was an illustration I created for The Weekly Writing Workshop's "Writing from A to Z." The Weekly Writing Workshop is a creative writing program in California for kids from low-income backgrounds. Their mission is to empower students from underserved communities by strengthening their technical writing skills and creative expression through in-depth, individualized feedback.
I had the honors to join in this year's "Writing from A to Z," where 3W pairs students with illustrators across the country. This year's theme was playing with typography as book covers. I was paired with Sydney Martinez who wrote a story about the mistreatment and horrific conditions of factory workers.
