The Lantern Festival
There's something interesting about nighttime photography: the attempt to capture light and movement and create a photograph which is clearly non-pixalated. Well without a tripod that attempt is impossible. My batter died about halfway through sunset so I decided to use my IPOD Instagram camera: and to tell you the truth I much prefer these shots than the ones my nikon produces.
There's something raw about these photographs: they are way too pixelated for my liking; actually they are so bad I find them incredibly interesting. It would be interesting to blow them up on a poster scale and really tamper with that pixelated look. But they in themselves give off a new feeling in my photographic series, something I can't quite place. Maybe I don't need to. Maybe the photographs in this style speak for themselves. In their raw state, these photographs become something more than just badly taken photographs. They become to full fill a purpose.
