The Techno folding table was concived in collaboration with Jelena Bugarcic.
It was commissioned by Belgrade Youth Center, which needed a folding computer table for the opening of it's IT corner, a space dedicated to education of youth in the fields of computer science, programming, design, technology and digital art. Every month, between fifteen and twenty workshops will be taking place in this department.
The great effort of making this piece was to meet all the client's needs. We were to create a table which was:
- sturdy enough to deck four desktop computers (4 x Mac mini/monitor/keyboard/mouse) when opened;
- easily moved into a storage area and fit into a smaller space;
- sheltering the desktop computers within it, with all the cables attached, in both closed and open position.
We created Techno - which met all these demands.
Techno is a folding computer table that can be used both in small and large spaces (like offices, conference halls, homes etc.).
Techno's most prominent feature is it's ability to be easily transformed from an open to a closed position, and vice versa, depending on the users need for the desktop stored on the table's center piece. It is easily folded, and highly moveable.
The Techno table is consisted of three boards made out of MDF and sturdy metal construction.
The central tabletop is painted in light gray, while the two foldable tabletops are painted in dark gray.
Sturdy frame is consisted of six parts made out of steel rectangular profiles. Two central parts are painted in cyan, while the four foldable parts are painted in light gray.
