Italian brands evolution // 1900-2014

The project is born after a debate on the difference between "design" and "stylism". The main difference between design objects and fashionable objects is that the first ones look topical even after decades. The Barcelona chair, for exemple, was designed by Mies Van Der Rohe in 1929 and still considered up-to-date.

Aim of the project is to find out if the same idea can be applied to the graphic design field. The research focused on the images of the most popular Italian brands and how they relate with the cultural and social context.

Il design è un fatto utopistico
che tende ad immaginare un mondo nuovo."
