For this project we were required to choose a local company that would benefit from a rebrand, I chose Tidy Tails, a local dog groomers which specialises in grooming for all dog breeds. I became particularly inspired by the old Hollywood theme because it is elegant much like the dogs. Dogs owners often treat their dogs like babies so I wanted to carry the "pampered" theme throughout. Brun Donald was my main focal point, I was inspired by the way he creates pieces of work and then the viewers eye works out the rest, I decided to work with negative space with my logo. The two curls represent dogs tails, inside the negative space there is a letter "T" because this is the first letter for Tidy and Tails, the whole logo also looks like a dogs nose looking up, I wanted it to look up to convey the message that this dog groomers is one of a kind. I carried on researching into old HollyWood and became inspired by famous Stars, from there I experimented with wigs on dogs to portray different stars. This theme carried throughout, on the merchandise such as the "T" shirts, I created various price packages such as the bronze, silver and gold to represent the colour of awards, the dearer packages are also available for the most pampered pooches, with some of the packages you can have a polaroid shot of your dog to take away with you, you can upgrade the package and have the photograph of your dog on a "t" shirt.
