This project began with the genereation of 500 one inch thumbnails, regarding the topics of balance, contrast, harmony, rhythm and texture — 100 thumbnails per topic. From these sets of 100, ten were selected and enlarged to three inch by three inch thumbnails, and from those, one image from each category was enlarged to five inches by five inches.

 

The entire process was then presented as a series of five 100-page accordian books, one 50 page stab-bound book, and one five page, traditional hardcover book.
