Through The Windows

Through the Windows is the final project of Architectural Design 1, Semester 1, 2014/2015. The concept is literally depicts the space is designed with many windows and methaporically means the user is someone who believe that "By reading books, you're actually opened up the windows of the world" which means by reading, you can understand many new things and know how the world runs.

This personal space is designed within 10 X 10 metres square to serve as a place for the user to enjoy his hobbies which are reading and sleeping. The interior serves as a mini library and reading area which are located at ground floor and first floor respectively. Not to mentioned, there is a special area for the user to sleep which is located at the ground floor and the space is strategically design under some shady trees which gives the user an experience sleeping under a shady tree. Architecturally, the design is derived from the basic platonic shape which is a sphere and by using the geodesic dome, the windows are designed to allow the natural ventilation and lighting.
